TEAM TEKI plans, builds and runs the world’s biggest IBM Analytics platform on premises for the foremost German luxury car manufacturer. TEAM TEKI is the IT boutique customers call, when the third level support fails. They solve the most challenging IT problems related to hardware, protocols or programming.
TEAM TEKI delivers excellent consulting for extra fast dashboard visualizations and automated visual regression testing using and building open source. They use Django, Python, Linux, Postgres, Selenium, Docker, Nginx, Apache and Angular Backends.
People at TEAM TEKI live on the command line, love network traffic and beautifully designed Front End. “{Code is poetry}” stands for their passion, when it comes to development and Open Source
What will you do?
You will be the principal Frontend DevOp of the company, and taking care of various Angular Projects serving the Top Level Management of a foremost German luxury car manufacturer. You are in charge of developing the open source visual regression testing platform. By thinking ahead you take things to the next level of productivity and functionality. In the day to day job, you will be working in direct contact with team members and CEO of TEAM TEKI.
We expect from you
- Taking care of various Gitlab frontend projects
- Maintain +30 Git repositories
- Contribute and evolve active projects
- Contribute actively to the worldwide IBM Analytics, Angular and Testing community
TEAM TEKI is an advocate of Open Source. You are encouraged to participate in and speak at international conferences.
During First Month.
- The TEAM TEKI family will welcome you with open arms, and although working remotely, they will be close and have answered any questions at any time.
- Your SSH-public key will be present on the machines and you will have looked at various active issues.
- And you will have executed End-2-End testing of the latest changes and installations using our platform.
From Third Month onwards
- You have an overview of +50k lines of code in the main repositories.
- You have enhanced the product with Data Driven Testing and may already start with API testing.
- You solved 3 to 5 active issues, did code review and merged it into master including the regression testing on stage and production.
- You most probably have automated some things using bash or python.
- You will have contributed to the IBM Analytics and Open Source community.
From Six Month Onwards
- The communication is fluent, you know where the screwdrivers and screws are.
- You actively find flaws and silently fix them.
- You are part of the team, you are taking over key issues and your contribution to the company is gaining weight.
- Slowly you are becoming the most important person for the enhancements of our Product.
How will you do this?
- You will be working hand in hand with our Chief Architect, the CTO and Team of Team Teki.
- For design questions you talk to Our Design Engineer.

- You should be available in the core time zone of TEAM TEKI which is between 10 and 16 o’clock UTC+2 (Berlin / Barcelona).
- If there are issues on production, you are available.

- You can work from wherever you are.
- You are welcome to join the office and also to relocate.

Responsibilities:
- We are looking for the self-paced, responsible, self-motivated Chief Frontend Developer with strong communication skills that contributes to the company in any and all areas and is capable of working independently, agile and team orientated.
- The harder the problem, the more you engage to solve it.
- You live on the command line and find reading log files, TCP dumps or straces entertaining. You know that 200ms vs 20ms is a huge difference to care about. You know that “mobile first” is the way to go.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced candidate of Hands-on experience on Python and Angular
- Experience on other languages and technologies will be a plus
- Experience on working with Lean and continuous delivery approach (CI/CD), Agile methodology, TDD, Infrastructure as Code etc.
- Hands on experience in deploying your code to production with a CI/CD pipeline
- Good exposure on RDBMS and interacting with ORM’s
- Should have experience in building cloud native scalable software architectures
- Hands on experience in API design and structure in collaborative environment
- Strong people management skills that contribute to an open and collaborative environment
